Services

Rits Computer Forensics are experts in digital forensics, forensic data recovery and electronic evidence discovery. We can analyse forensic data and recover digital evidence while preserving the integrity of the electronic evidence for discovery and trial.

We provide support and steer Computer Forensics investigations in a well-defined and controlled manner, from the early stages of an investigation right through to the final stages of expert witness support in court of law.

Investigation & Analysis

Computer Forensics is the collection, extraction, interpretation and presentation of digital evidence for evidentiary analysis. Digital evidence can be retrieved from all forms of media.

Report Preparation

Rits prepares reports after analysis in every investigation, to report back to our clients with the facts of the case. These reports are written to withstand unqualified scrutiny by senior counsel in law courts.

Expert Witness

We supports an array of legal teams during investigations, not only providing technical background for an individual case, but also sufficient information for legal teams to develop their case further. In addition, our employees have provided expert witness in Irish Courts and Employment Appeals Tribunals.

Reverse Engineering

We have the expertise to reverse engineer any suspicious programs, including Trojans, and viruses. Often suspects say “I must have had a virus on my PC” when caught performing an act which is against organisations computer usage policy. Rits can de-assemble the object code into source code, and run the various programs in a debugger under a control environment to determine whether the case was caused by human interaction or by suspicious programs.

Forensic Data Recovery

We can recover data from all manufacturers and types of hard disk drives. Our experienced staff has thorough knowledge of all makes and models of hard disk, covering all types of devices and technologies, including desktops, laptops, servers, RAID and external hard disk drives.

Electronic Evidence Discovery

Collecting and analysing electronic evidence has become increasingly important as more and more organisations store files digitally. Rather than simply extracting data from computers this process requires expert skills in electronic discovery to ensure success in managing large volumes of electronic evidence accurately and cost-effectively.
